On a clear night in March 1923, as Dr Paddy Muldoon makes his way home in Mohill, Co. Leitrim, a man steps from the shadows,raises a rifle to his shoulder and fires. The first shot misses its target, but when two more are fired, Dr Muldoon is left dying on the road.
